ePortal Member Features
Articles
Members can view the articles and then post comments on each article. Members with appropriate privileges can post new articles in different categories and also decide whether to allow comment posting on it or not.
Discussion Forums
Communication is the most important contributing factor to the success of any community. Members with appropriate security permissions have the ability to create and maintain Discussion. The originator of a Discussion may close or delete it at any time. This is an excellent way to get people involved and invested, and provides a means of sharing information across your membership base.
Events & Calendar
ePortal prominently feature a distinctive Calendar which lists all the events. There are several useful views. The monthly view is most widely used. Other views include Daily, Weekly and Yearly. User can switch between and view as and when required. A quick click on the day will bring up the events for that day.
Members Directory
ePortal provide a Member Directory of all the registered members of the Portal. You may select members by name (Alphabetical list), batch, faculty, department etc.
Member Search
We also provide a Comprehensive Member Search function, which allows you to enter the first, few letters in any field to find all matching members. Most of the times, the excellent feature of general keyword search is all you need. This option allows you to search in all the attributes of a member including the resumes (if allowed by that member) and many more.
Member Validation File
Membership to the portal can be restricted or open to everyone. We let the administrator decide. A member validation list can be maintained and uploaded into the portal. This file will be used to validate the eligibility of anyone who is trying to register.
Messaging
Members can send messages to anyone in the member list by selecting an individual or a sub-group.
News
News and highlights are an important part of the portal. Members can view the news and then post comments on each news item. Members with appropriate privileges can post news in different categories and also decide whether to allow comment posting on it or not. In addition to that, a news item can be available to public or only to members.
Photo Gallery
As someone said "A picture is better than 1000 words". Community is all about sharing and caring. ePortal lets members create picture galleries and share their life.
Polls
Whether there is an election or just a matter of gathering opinion among the members, polls are an effective way of collecting the views. Members can participate in polls, edit their point of view (if allowed) and view the results according to settings. Members can also access the results of previous polls.
